Journalism is my passion and my motivation for putting one foot in front of the other. I love utilizing data and records requests to tell stories. The key to identifying countless systematic problems lives within numbers, but no one cares without the human element.
It is not simply about churning out packages and clips like a robot, but immersing myself into the lives of the people around me and diving into the core of the issues that matter to them. My goal is to merge numbers and the people behind them to tell a worthwhile story.
I am an Eagle Scout that graduated from the University of Missouri in 2017 with a Bachelor of Journalism convergence degree. My emphasis was in radio and television. Since school, my work has won a national Edward R. Murrow award, the Sigma Delta Chi award, and has been nominated for five regional Emmys.
Backpacking, hiking, improv comedy, video games and scoops of ice cream keep me rejuvenated.
